Windows Media Player (german), no sound when playing DVD's

Apfelblüte Gruppe: Members Beiträge: 2 Mitgliedsnummer.: 17.012 Mitglied seit: 26.02.2006	I have installed Windows Media player 10 (German version) when I play music CD's is the sound OK, but if I play a DVD, I have no sound. Apfel Gruppe: Serverbetreiber Beiträge: 28 Mitgliedsnummer.: 14.366 Mitglied seit: 12.07.2005	well i know that a dvd has a kind of encryption and i think that the media player itself can't really play a dvd without having another dvd-player-software installed. maybe that's the reason why you can't hear anything but if you can see the movie this should not be the problem. i would try to open the movie with a dvd-software like PowerDVD PS: sound boxes on?
